Identifying incoming call by number dialed

Hi,

We have multiple businesses using the same PBX, and we need a kind of "Virtual Receptionist" setup.

Each business has a separate DID, and we need to somehow display this DID/Business name on the phone, so the receptionist knows what business' phone she is picking up.

Is this possible with 3CX?

Name the DIDs...

In addition to naming the DIDs you will need to enable the option to show this information.

When you assign a DID, you will see a little pencil icon to allow you to name it.



This will give you the dialog box to name it.



When you add it, you will see this both where the DId is assigned, under your SIP Trunk DIDs tab, as well as the inbound rules report in your Reports page



Then go into the phonebook options and enable the showing of this information.
