Implement Failover on Amazon AWS

Hello, I search for documentation to implement Failover in Amazon but I don't found much.

The Idea is to use EC2 to have 2 instances running in different regions, (Paris and Frankfurt) for HA reasons.
I'm thinking to create an S3 bucket to save and retrieve the config for the actve/passive servers and if yes what services you would use (smb, sftp, or how to share folder to 2 instances.....). ?
Someone has a best practice to do this in Amazon cloud ?

Thanks, but I know the 3CX failover documentation you've shown.

I've read in other post that the next 3cx update will have the Amazon S3 option integrated in backup location with the new Google drive bucket connection. This will solve my problems, because at the moment Gdrive connection don't works, as you know.

If you have experience with failover on Amazon Cloud with the two server placed in two different regions without the gdrive option working? this Is actually not explained. Would be useful to have some documentation regarding this procedure, for example using sftp over S3 bucket. But sftp from my search I think Is very expensive for this application, what do you think about It?

The failover option does not care about the backup storage. You can use any service you want. It only cares that both instances can see it. Technically could do local backup for both and manually copy the backup from one instance to the other.

And no I don't really have any experience with 3CX HA because active/passive is meh. Any of the virtualization options VM failover like Hyper-V's Live Migration or VMware Vmotion are much better.

Yes , I'm agree but if you pay for an enterprise License I think you want to automate all the process, and the manual backup solution is not a good idea for me.
When Gdrive returns back to work all will be solved, but for example if the customer has only cloud Amazon and want to maintain the backup in that infracstructure at the moment we haven't a best practice to do this.

And for Hyper-V Live migration, I think isn't a good solution regarding total costs to implement it. We need only one suggestion how to have a shared folder between the two vm in different region,but a solution not much expensive (cost is always the problem)

You can setup an SFTP (or FTP) server now and automate failover. Use two different AWS zones for your active and passive, OR put your passive on an entirely separate cloud provider, such as Google Compute or Microsoft Azure. We do it that way now and it works well.

Ok thanks I try to do this with S3 SFTP Service.
