Importing CSV automatically generates welcome emails

Hi,

As the title suggests, we imported all our users using a CSV file and a welcome email was automatically sent out. The import was done as part of a test environment prior to going live, so we were not intending to send the info out to users just yet.

Is there any way of disabling the welcome email from being sent upon doing an import?

This is not possible - so should be in the IDEAS forum - but it might already be there.
And simply changing the mail server to an invalid server, ie: "x" - probably won't help either, because I think 3cx retries sending the emails.

Ok, no worries - thanks for the reply.

I have amended the CSV file for now until we are ready to go and will repopulate the email field as and when we need to.

Check 'Notify user when extension is added' , this should be unticked, under Settings - Email Settings - Notifications

Yes, that was selected. I thought all of the options under that section were for admin notifications only. Might be clearer to separate those out, but I have unticked for now and will see what happens if we need to re-import the data. Thanks for the reply.
