We are trying to configure inbound caller id for a customer. We have enabled CNAM Caller ID lookup with our trunk provider, but it seems they are still unable to get the inbound caller ID.

System is self hosted and running V20 Update 5 (build 551 release)

You may need to do a packet capture and check the INVITE packet sent by your provider. Normally, the CNAM is sent as the Display Name in the "From" field, which is where the generic template is configured to look by default. If you do not see the name in the INVITE packet, it's an issue with your provider. If you do see the name in the "From" field, you may need to export your SIP trunk settings and check the exported data for something like:

<field name="ParameterIn" custom="" parameter="FromDisplayName">$CallerName</field>

If you name your provider, then perhaps, someone else that also uses them, can offer advice on what needs to be changed.
