I have recently setup a self hosted system using FlowRoute as the SIP Provider. Everything seems to be working as it should except all inbound calls only show the number, city and state. Why is it not showing the caller id name? I have setup flowroute to lookup cname and they are doing that. What do I need to change in 3cx v20 to make this correct?

Thank you,
Corey Spector

Hi @pws

Go to the Flowroute trunk and select Check SIP Trunk. Then choose Inbound Call Test and immediately place an incoming call.

Review the log to confirm whether the provider is sending the caller name. You should see something similar to:

INVITE sip:15551234567@your3cx...
From: "JOHN SMITH" <sip:[email protected]>

If you’d like, you can post the results here in the forum (please make sure to redact any sensitive information first.)

This will help us confirm whether the provider is sending the caller name and identify which SIP header contains it, in case we need to adjust the provider template.

You shouldn't need to change anything, as the template is already set to check the Display name SIP field in the invite header to pass the CName. You can check this guide on how to capture the traffic of a call and see where the CName is first passed from the provider side:
