Solved Inbound dial tone sounds international

Hi All,

Who sets the tone for inbound calls? PBX or sip trunk provider? When people call us it sounds like they're dialling an international number.

What are you using for inbound calls? Are you using a SIP trunk, a gateway etc? If you are using a SIP trunk for example the PBX will send a 180 Ringing message once the phone starts to ring but no sound. The caller will hear the ringing sound his device generates. If for example the calls come into a queue and you have set the US progress tone file as music on hold then the caller will hear that,

Thanks very much for that. It was the "US Progress Tone" on our newly implemented queue, which to us Australians sounds like an international call
