There is limit of 20000 entries but please keep in mind that inbound rules are evaluated from the top down so the more you have the more the system will slow down so if you plan to add many of them you need to have the system specs to match that number.
How many are you planning to add?

I think about 1000, did suggest a CFD to pull assigned extension from the CRM.

1000 inbound rules is really manageable. I would not worry about that
