Hi,

Just installed a new SIP trunk for a client and removed the old one (change of provider). They have two DID's which have been ported and setup with the new trunk however all calls are now routing to the main trunk number configured in the SIP trunk instead of following the inbound rules. Any reason why this would happen?

Hi @Scott EIT

Yes, i believe that is because the new provider is sending the called number in a different format so the PBX cannot match the call with an Inbound rule.
I would check the activity log and search for the To: number to see the format and change your DIDs to match that.
Alternatively reformat your DIDs with a wildcard to bypass the issue. So if for example your DID is +123456789 reformat it to *3456789.
This way the PBX will try to match only the digits after the "*".
So if your provider sends the number as 123456789 or 023456789 the PBX will be able to match it to the inbound rule

Thanks Yiannis. Spoke to provider. Problem solved!

Glad to see that the issue has been resolved.
