Hello,

We configure 2 sip trunk gave by our telecom provider on our 3cx server and it's work well when we make outbound calls, but we canniot receive any incoming calls. Please could you help us to resolve this problem? It's urgent for us.

Best Regards

Need more info ,

Is the 3CX system - hosted or inhouse

What SIP provider

On the sip configure - are you forwarding the calls to extension, group or IVR (Route calls to settings)

Have you opened the required ports on the firewall -
https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/firewall-router-configuration/

Have you run the firewall checker -
https://www.3cx.com/docs/troubleshooting-firewall-checker/

Have you checked the activity log for incoming activity from the sip provider, this will provide you with some details on what commands are being processed

Inbound Rules? Do the numbers match? ie: with or without international code, or a +.

It is inhouse, First its started on windows where earlier both incoming and outgoing works fine but after an hour or 2, only one works both ways whiles the other works just out bound.... No inbound and after i restart my router(Mikrotik RouterBoard 1100AHx4) it moves to the working trunk and the second trunk works fine while the first working one becomes just outboundand no inbound, i tried on linux but same issue

Sounds to me a router issue, maybe change to a supported device.

On the sip trunks are they authenticated with username and password or IP address.

What happens if you disable / remove one of the sip lines - does it work longer than 2 hrs

Thanks. They are authenticated by different IP addresses. Since i have two 3cx servers, i configured each with one sip trunk that goes to the router but the issue is still the same. Will a cisco router be better for this or how should i configure mikrotik to support this if that is the issue?

Hello @Chris Osei

I am confused regarding your configuration. Are both trunks on one PBX or do you have 2 PBX's behind the same public IP with one trunk each? Also who is your provider?

The set up is one PBX with two trunks(Both trunk has different ip addresses but same provider), when both are connected it works for some time then one trunk starts to work just outbound, no inbound whiles the other trunks works both ways, if i restart the Mikrotik router the not working trunk starts working fine both ways, then the problem shift to the trunk which was working fine earlier.

Hi, i did the firewall configuration for mikrotik but the issue is when the configurations are enabled not call goes through;

I believe you have a source identification issue. Do both trunks have the same DIDs? I am not sure who your provider is and this defers from provider to provider but you may need to enable the source identification settings under the trunks inbound rules.

Since i do not know the providers settings you may need different options configured there so i cannot be more specific regarding the configuration.

Its a local provider (Vodacom) and we have a point to point link with them, and both trunks work on this link. The issue is, it works for some time and after only one trunk works fine and the other works only out going.

Do you have the same DID's in both trunks?
