Hi,

We have 2 sip trunk numbers added to 3cx. We noticed that even though we setup different route call rule for these 2 numbers (to 2 different IVR), however test calls to both number only got routed to 1 IVR only.

So we tested by removing each of those 2 sip trunks, but we found that even when only 1 sip trunk number added on 3cx, call to both number works.

Both of these sip trunks are from same provider (same IP).

Any idea how this happens?

Thanks so much in advance.

Regards.

HI @ltviet

That happens because you are using 2 IP based trunks from the same provider that uses the same IP so the PBX can match either call to either trunk. This is caused by the way the call source identification of the system works and how you have it set up.

This is how it works: https://www.3cx.com/docs/sip-trunk-inbound-calls/

To solve your issue you should either only use one trunk and add both numbers under that or by disabling call source identification from both trunks and make sure that your number format matches the format the provider is using to send you the calls.
