Two new Debian iso installs with restore from backup of previous Windows 3CX servers and both get the same error message when trying to enable the Instance Manager.

install-instance-manager returned error code 255

Tried rebooting both servers and still get the error message. Everything else is running fine.

I have a similar situation, servers are all fine but cannot get instance manager to enable on them with error code 255

@bvieck You can try this if you have not reached out to support already, see below:
run the following command as root, once it is complete try and enable the instance manager again it should work this time. (it did for me)

Bash:
wget -O - https://downloads.3cx.com/downloads/misc/debianpatches/9/16/0/5/20200619-os-update.sh | bash

I had the same issue and this command has fixed it. thanks @BJS
