From the posting in http://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/exchange-server-configuration/

How can you enable the Unified Messaging server role for the Exchange server that came with SBS2008 (64-bit). It is greyed out.

Hi,

These features have only been implemented in the licensed version of 3cx. Please ensure you have entered your license details.

You need an Exchange Enterprise Edition license key to enable UM on SBS.

How does SBS 2008 know that I have Exchange Enterpise license key if there is no way of activating them on SBS 2008

Use this command to upgrade the Exchange License Key. This has to be done from the Exchange PS prompt.

Code:
set-ExchangeServer SERVERNAME -ProductKey aaaaa-aaaaa-aaaaa-aaaaa-aaaaa

Thanks, I'll try that.

Exchange 2007 in SBS 2008 comes with UM. I've done it before - no need for an Exchange Enterprise licence.
