https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/3cx-manual-installation-instructions-disappeared.76272/Good Morning,
I have a quick question with v16 one could install debian 9 and then add the necessary repositories to install 3cx.
Can the same be done for v18 and debian 10 or do you need to use the 3cx image?
Morning Vasilis,Hi @jaquilina,
From your Deb 9 v16 machine, you should be able to click the updates section in the Management Console and select to upgrade the OS to Deb 10 and v16 to v18 automatically. If you're unable to do this, I suggest going the supported route of installing using the 3CX ISO.
That is not to say that you couldn't go the route you're mentioning but it would be easier to just reinstall using the ISO which already installs v18 for you. Remember to take a backup of your v16 system before upgrading / reinstalling. With a v16 backup, you can rollback to v16 for the first 30 days after upgrading to v18.
Did you completely overlook my link?Morning Vasilis,
The thing is i am looking to change server providers to save some money and the easiest is for me to install debian 10 and then install 3cx. To go down this path what repositories would i need to add to be able to work with 3cx directly to be able to install directly on debian 10?
