How do I see my Privilege level? What Privilege level do you need to suggest an idea? And how do I improve my Privilege level?

Seems a little elitist to me. So how to we affiliates suggest ideas? Is the old Community still available?

3CX got tired of the forums being littered with half-baked ideas by people that produce zero revenue for them. Like most businesses, they are in it to turn a profit. So now, only the people who actually generate revenue can put in feature requests. Seems fairly logical to me and frankly I like it. Tired of seeing please support xyz phone because they happened to buy a box of 50 on ebay for $100 or they are trying to re-use some 10 year old phones that didn't work well on their old system like they aren't already saving money by using 3CX in the first place.

In reality though, 3CX already has a pretty solid idea of what they want to do and historically speaking, don't really deviate from it that much no matter how much of a fuss we make here.

If you have an idea you think is worthwhile, you can post it in the regular section and request that someone with a high enough rank will post in the Ideas section, or you can PM someone. But honestly, PBXes aren't that complex and most ideas are already there. A little searching and you'll probably find your idea or something close and I believe you can still vote on ideas.

My answer isn't there for controversy or for the fight.

Problem of the forum being littered with half-baked ideas is 3CX admin responsability, they should have not given us half-baked solution with IDEAS and then come to complain that forumers dont use it as they expect.

It seems to me that you have a fairly direct way of speaking and surely you have a very strong one estime yourself, but please dont be so dismissive for others people lower partner level than yours .

If you think your partner level means you have the good ideas and lower partners have just the crappy ones, you are wrong IMO .

An IDEAS BOX as it is named should stay opened to everybody (my opinion) even if they are crazy ideas or impossible to achieve . This is collective thought, just 3CX has to daily filter enough and keep only what they want for DEV.

Otherwise they shouldn't use this way to collect ideas from a public forum and stay only in closed world with their premium partners, as you, directly and don't ask other people for ideas.

Also, Ideas, as you said, is not a warranty to see features or requests be in a PBX or perhaps in 3 or 4 years delay, Companies that listen to their customers are usually those that have the best chances to long life.

I never said my partner levels make my ideas any better than anyone elses. But I do think that someone who actually sells and installs 3CX for a living regularly does have a better grasp on things than someone who decided today they want to learn VoIP and just downloaded 3CX and bought the cheapest phone they could find on ebay. I'm not sure how long you've been selling PBXs or really anything in general, but it's pretty common for a business to prioritize the input of paying customers over non-paying. And if everyone is ok with 3CX raising their prices to cover the salaries of 2-3 full time employees with in-depth knowledge of and the code base who can evaluate and clean up the ideas forums as you recommend I'm all for it opening it back up. Because it can't just be some intern who runs to the dev team every 5 minutes to ask if this is possible.
