Integration with Grandstream GXW4104 for paging (v20)

We've been having difficulty integrating a Grandstream GXW4104 on v20 for paging via Telecor / Rauland systems. Prior to v20 this was a fairly straight forward process but since v20 it's pretty much impossible to get working. Hoping a 3CX engineer or someone will chime in on this since we have numerous installs set up this way. We've spent countless hours researching this topic and attempting to get it to work properly but have been unsuccessful.

The GXW 4104 device is an FXO gateway. You use those to connect telco analog lines, not paging or fax devices.

You will need to use an FXS device, like the HT80x series of devices to connect analog paging and fax devices.

Thank you for the feedback! However, the Telecor paging system acts like a CO (it provides the dial tone like a telco provider). We've been actively using these devices (GXW4104) for years with no trouble on previous versions of 3CX. Even the systems that have been upgraded from v18 to v20 carried everything over and all works correctly. The problem is it no longer works in v20 when adding a new GXW4104 set up as a gateway.

FXO Gateways are now manually configured in 3CX, as we do not support connections to FXO gateways.

The gateway will also need to be local to the PBX, that is, on the same local network.

We have followed that article along with numerous others with still no success and really need to get this working. I plan to do more troubleshooting as soon as possible and will post results on this thread.

@Ron25 - we exhausted trying to use an FXO gateway. The workaround we've come up with was to use an existing FXS gateway, set up a new extension and utilize a Viking Rad-1A. It works flawlessly.
