We are currently testing out 3CX with a trial license.
We are testing out with other Asterisk solutions: PBX In A Flash (PIAF), Trixbox and Elastix. I find that the manual is lacking a some details and info is too vague and general. Thought I check in the forum for others having similar setup.
We have other offices that we work with and connected via VPN tunnel. Some of them already have Asterisk based PBX in place and not ready to drop it for 3CX. But our office, maybe...depending how well 3CX performs.
We are currently testing out Inter-Connectivity between 3CX and other Asterisk based systems. In 3CX we setup the following as follows:
Under 3CX > under VOIP Providers > Generic SIP Trunk
SIP IP = PIAF IP Address
Outbound Proxy = PIAF IP Address
External Number = <any number to identify calls coming from 3CX / Port>
Authentication ID = PIAF's SIP Trunk User Context
Authentication PW = PIAF's SIP Trunk User Context details
Calls from 3CX 8xxx extension to PIAF 3xxx extension works, but 2 issues:
1.) Calls shows 3CX's VOIP SIP Trunk Port # and not the actual user's 8xxx extension on 3CX.
2.) Cannot call from PIAF to 3CX. 3CX Server Activty Log shows the following:
"[CM102001]: Authentication failed for SipReq: INVITE 8566@<3CX IP> tid=521d178f cseq=INVITE contact=3004@<PIAF IP>:5060 / 103 from(wire); Reason: Credentials don't match, check that authorization-ID and password match the ones in extension settings"
I've checked the PIAF's Trunk Outgoing settings and have tried a number of Authorization-ID and password (3CX's extensions) and none worked.
Can anyone help?
If we can get this working 3CX and PIAF/Trixbox/Elastix, then we'll buy 3CX. If not, we'll drop 3CX and just stick to PIAF/Trixbox/Elastix.
