Intermitant Firewall Failiure

Hello,

Have 3cx and the firewall test will fail 1 in 3 times (roughly) Not sure why. Have been over the Port settings 100 times everything is correct im sure.

Im using a Draytek 2700, but have tried other difernet kind of routers...still the same

Im using 3CX Phone System v6.0.806.0 but was doing the same thing on V5

Using Gama trunk with Demon ADSL ...both beleived to be ok

When i get Firewall Failiure the port that it fails on is different every time.. heres my latest....

1 9000 Error (4) The STUN server returned an ip which is not accessible from outside. addrFromSTUN = 62.49.5.142:9000
2 9000 Information (9) Port is open and can be used for calls. externalAddress = 62.49.5.142:9000
...
...




if i do it again it passes.

Confused...... if it passes once shouldnt it pass everytime?


We are experincing dropped cals, and bad quality, all intermitant.

Any help would be apprciated

Just a thought.... when a succesful call is made, during the call the quality can deteriorate badly. If it was the stun server problem would this happen?

This all points to network level problems - either firewall configuration or the way your ISP is doing NAT...... If the firewall check fails intermittently then there is definitely a problem.

Ok have tried many different routers so im sure its not that.

My ISP is Demon, is there any known problems with Demon? we are on an 8mb (down) 800k (Up) conection.

Have tried 3cx on three different PC's and pluged them directly into the router to rule out cabling/infrastructure issues...still the same.

Its the fact that it intermitant thats so weird!

Hi all, This is an old post....but thought i would see if there is any new ideas out there

Have now changed ISP to Freedom2Surf....still getting same problems.

Really dont undestand whats wrong.

any help appreciated.
