We have a client on 3CX version 16.0.5.619 using a mixture of Yealink phones. T27P, T29G, T23G, T27G Phones. The firewall checker passes with no issues. All phones show up to date in the 3CX portal as well. While it is not a consistent issue it is there allot of the times. Basically here is the issue. Someone in the office will make a call to another internal phone. There is roughly an 8 second delay before you can hear the person speaking. I am relatively new to 3CX so any advice is greatly appreciated.

Windows 10 Home is not a supported operating system - only Pro or Enterprise. - https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/

If I was you, instead of purchasing Win 10 Pro, use Debian instead.

I have upgraded the Operating System to Windows 10 Professional and the issue remains. Again this is only for internal calls. Any other idea's?

Someone in the office will make a call to another internal phone.

An on premise system with local phones making extension to extension calls should be the last method to exhibit this sorts of issues unless of course the local network is playing a part.

Can you first confirm that external calls out of the trunk do not exhibit this issue and it is extension to extension only. The reason for the question is because normally this sort of issue is present at the point of passing the call(s) to the provider whether by trunk or media gateway - not local calling.

I assume also that after the 8 second delay the call is fine (not a latency or bottleneck issue on the local network)?

Another confirmation as well which has come up before from clients (and is really obvious) make sure they are calling extension to extension by local extension number and not external DDI.

Thank you for the reply. I will verify this and report back with my discoveries.
