Hi all ;-)

I have a little issue with call transfer. Here is an example:

I would like to transwer a call (answered from the main extension) to another; the extension that receives the transferred call must see only the "anonymous" and not the +49325448742.

I have tried many parameters in the "Outbound Parameters" but without success.
Any suggestions ?

So you want to suppress the caller ID at the end of the line?

Outbound parameters affect calls going OUTBOUND.

But you are saying a transfer to an extension... so that is the inbound calls. Even then, I do not think you can suppress the transfer of the caller ID. You would have to stop it before it on the INBOUND rules which would affect all extensions ... but I could be wrong.

Hi craigreilly,

thanks for your reply.

Let's explain better with an example. All our incoming cals are answered by extension 0000 that will see "User Part" and "Display Name" (in this case "anonymous / +49325448742".

I would like set the extension on which the call is diverted (from extension 0000) to be able to see only the "anonymous" (Display Name) and no the "User Part"

I think "Outbound Parameters" are working only for call that goes outside 3CX.

:-(

Haven't tried it, but...maybe a transfer to a loop trunk then back in. Can't remember off hand if inbound parameters can be modified in the same manner as a "normal" trunk, so that caller ID could be "ignored" for the call. Removing caller ID for transferred calls is not usually a requested "feature". If this was a "once in a while" occurrence, and the loop trunk worked, you might be able to live with it as it would eat two concurrent call licences each time.

Thanks for your suggestion. Due to the nature of calls we need to be able to decide wich part from the incoming number should be sent to some extensions or totally hide caller ID on some extensions.

Hello @mukkacow

Please note that you cannot force anonymous in internally transferred calls. the outbound and inbound settings only apply to calls from the to the provider. When a call is transferred internally then these settings have no effect on the call. You can try what @leejor suggested or try to reformat the calls as they come in but that would affect all calls.

Alternatively you can post your idea on https://www.3cx.com/community/forums/3cx-ideas/ . All posts are reviewed by their corresponding Departments and, if feasible and voted for by other users as well, may be implemented in an upcoming service pack or update.
