Good morning, I need the following for a VoIP provider:
For example, I have 100 à which also has the did number 0312010100
extension 101 has dome did number 0312010101
I would like to set a rule that between extensions if they dial an extension from extension 101 I call 0312010100 it routes it directly to the associated extension (at 100) without leaving the switchboard externally.
it's possible ?
I wonder why on asterisk they were able to do it by creating internal directly with external didnumber but on 3cx I don't know how to do it.
Thank you

Hi there.
So you mean if you are on the same system and 100 instead of dialling 101 it dials 0312010101, you want the call going directly to 101 and the call not to leave the trunk?

exactly, with an asterisk I created a user with number 0312010101 and I had solved the problem, but I can't do it with 3cx, imagine a switchboard with 1000 users with various numbers 0312010101 and 0312125201 etc

You don't need to compare the systems, this is not what this forum is about and we will try to advise on how to do it in our system.

So every extension has a SIP ID, it is under the Users >> Option tab >> Option section >> "SIP ID (Must be unique per extension)"
You can place there your number. Then ensure that in the Settings >> Network >> FQDN tab, your option " Allow calls from/to external SIP URIs" is ON, and both FQDNs are matching there.
Once done, give it a try

I'm not comparing systems, I'm explaining to you how I did it at the time with that system, if I didn't think 3cx was better I wouldn't be here.
This is probably a limitation of the Italian to English translator

No worries, please give the above a try and let us know how it goes.
Thank you

I can't find this section Then ensure that in the Settings >> Network >> FQDN tab, your option " Allow calls from/to external SIP URIs" is ON, and both FQDNs are matching there.

Great and thank you for the feedback too!
Indeed, in V20 the option has been moved to a different menu.
Enjoy your weekend

Thank you
