Internal Error 500 - Administrator Problem

I have logged out but I will check next time....

I hope what I did helps others in the same boat! I was about to start again when I thought I would give it one last go, funny how things pop into your head to give a go, sometimes it just works.....

It appears that whatever SP2 fixed, SP3 has broken. I have been trying to complete an install on Windows Server 2012 and cannot get past the 500.19 IIS error. I have followed all of the tips/suggestions on this post, as well as anything else that I have been able to find related to this error, but no success. I am using the latest v11 download that includes SP3.

Is the installer with SP2 embedded still available anywhere? Perhaps I could try that to see if it makes any difference.

Make a full install of 3CXPhoneSystem V11 SP3, do not apply the SP3 patch over SP2 installation. I had the same problem (same error) and managed to solve it with full reinstall.

Regards

I was able to get this resolved. Bottom line was that IIS did not have everything installed that it needed. I logged into another server (running 2008 R2) and compared the services that were running on that instance of IIS to what had been installed on the 2012 box, and found several things missing.

When I read the post above from Sam71, I assumed that he had installed .net 3.5 only to get the installation checker to run, but that was likely the reason that the webpages wouldn't load as well.

What I ended up doing was uninstalling 3CX (again), adding ASP.net (for both 3.5 and 4.5), and then reinstalled 3CX, and almost everything worked. I was still getting an error on the management webpage. I went into IIS and found that "Modules" under "Feature Delegation" was set to "Read Only" for the 3CX website. After changing that to "Read/Write", all pages appear to be functioning properly.

What you can definitely do is uninstall 3CX, download the latest version (full exe) and install a clean install. the installation in the latest version will fix all issues.

It was a tough time because 2012 and 8 were released after 3CX Phone system was released. And fixes for OS support need to be made at installation level not in the Application's code because they were all caused by setup issues of websites and iis configuration.

I do not understand what you modified in the Modules / feature delegation. Can you explain how to get to the section you modified? The Modules i know is the feature in the IIS section.

Hi -

I have tried everything listed here in the thread and am getting the same issue. The Management page is not coming up. The difference is I am running on 2008 R2. This is a full clean install in this machine. My IIS server is working fine with my webmail software as well as my website. At this point I am at a loss. I have removed and reinstalled 3 times.

Any other ideas?

This thread is not about 2008R2. We have an installation that does not have problems on that operating system since beginning of 2010 with a track record of hundreds and thousands of installations.

You need to have something specific on your operating system.

Maybe it is something that your webmail software is installing on your IIS that is breaking it for everything else.

Check full windows updates.

If you fail, open a support ticket with 3CX and we will check this out for you. This is def something that is happening on your installation.

Can you paste the full server error?

Had the same problem with a fresh install of v11sp4 on a virgin Server 2008 R2 Foundation,
Solved it with a 'Repair' of .Net4 Extendet (Start, Control-Panel, Programs & Functions, .Net4 Extendet___repair)

Just to let you know...

Uninstall Everything that has to do with the 3CX Phone System from the machine.Make sure you do not leave anything behind.
restart the machine.
check and make sure that you have .NET Framework version 4 or higher installed and in working order, repair the .net installation if you have to.
install the latest windows updates.
restart the machine.
Download the latest installation from http://www.3cx.com
Then install
let me know if it works or not.
