internal vs external ring tones snom D735

When changing the default ring tone via Users -> Phone Provisioning -> Configure default ringtone. The ring tone changes for internal calls but external calls is still using the default ring tone. Is there something we are doing wrong ? Which setting on the phone should I be looking at and where?

Running 3cx version 18.0 Update 1 (Build 237) with Snom D735 firmware version 18.5.28

Hello,

There are some ringtones that are hardcoded and cannot be changed (IVR, External).

The only way this can be changed is by creating your own custom template. We do not recommend doing this because we do not offer support for custom templates, plus you need to keep them updated yourself.
