internet & external ringtones

Hi

Wondering if someone can point me to a right location to setup Internal and External Ringtones. I have 3CX system hosted in AWS (v18) with 50+ extensions. I would like to change internal and external ringtones on all 50+ extensions.

I understand that i can change internal ringtones by going to Users \ Phone provisioning \ configure default ringtone, one extension at a time. how do I change it in bulk? and how do I change external ringtone in bulk?

You would need to create a custom template to modify the ring tone for internal/external calls specifically then apply to your extensions.

You would have needed to specify the ring tone on user import as you cannot bulk edit ring tones via the mgmt console.

Thank you for your quick response. Seems like not very straightforward and also no 3CX support on custom templates. I think I make keep default external ringtone and only change internal ringtone via users extension. The way both sound different which is clients’ requirement.

Yes you could have queued calls on one ring tone and then the default on another, that is a good, supported way.
