I had the hosted system running and added soft phones as well as 2 old Cisco phones successfully. Today, I tried to install a Yealink T46S phone. I ran through all of the configuration but the phone shows no service and the phone in the IP Phones shows red. I updated the firmware to 66.86.0.180. I kept trying and now I get a message saying my IP address has been blacklisted. Is there a way to clear it?

The 46S isn’t a router phone…do you have an SBC connected?

On the free version you need to stop what’s causing the block (delete and factory reset the phone) and wait 24h.

I do have an SBC running on a Raspberry PI and it shows up in the dashboard. I've deleted and factory reset the phone a couple of times but didn't wait 24 hours.
The strange thing is that I was able to connect two Cisco 7960 phones using a manual install with no problem.

Finally got it! I was using the wrong URL for provisioning. Duh!

I ran into this after a firmware update on a Yealink T57W (router phone).
So I basically need to factory reset this T57W and wait 24 hours? It seems that ANY IP i try to log into the system from now says the IP is blacklisted and I am unable to get into the console to delete the T57W.

We normally use 8SC+ licenses and paid hosting. So far there doesn't seem to be any way to communicate with 3CX about their free hosting platform. I can't use any of my support credits, nor even place a ticket about the issue. This is a 3-user small mechanic shop that just needs the basics. We were trying out the SMB offering but so far not thrilled. :/

Anyway lmk any ideas or what normally happens next so I can set proper expectations with the client.

If ANY IP comes up as blacklisted, that would be odd - unless you had set console restrictions at some point?

In general for your main questions, yes a banned IP is cleared after 24h, you just need to sit it out - if a location has a fixed IP you really should be whitelisting it. Also one more reason to be using an SBC - once that is set up, the phones go through it and there is no risk of your IP getting blocked due to a bad phone.

KyriacosS_3CX - This is for the FREE HOSTING plan on 3CX. There is no access to any of those settings on your free tier.

BTW this was when I added a Router Phone (Yealink SIP-T57W). It did it each and every time because the phone would do a direct connection to the public IP of the system and because this is BLOCKED by administrative settings (and not available to change on the Free plan) it would try to log in and quickly blacklist the IP address. I also tested it on our system that I do have Admin control over and the same situation occurred. It seems the router phones are registering themselves but not provisioning the router phone's SBC correctly to avoid the lockout on the free tier. (at least with this phone model)

I did not have another router phone to test with the free system. I will say that we will NOT be helping clients use the Free SKU in the future.

Did you check the correct firmware before? If you dont connect it correctly as router phone you will get blacklisted for 24 hours.
