Hi,

Currently hosting 3CX in the cloud using google cloud services.
After restarting the VM in the cloud i noticed our FQDN(provided by 3cx as: xxxxxxxxxxxx.rcx.nl) is not reachable anymore. Then checked and noticed the external IP of my VM has changed. I can reach the pbx using this IP but would like to reach it using the FQDN as well.
Could someone please help?

Thanks in advance!

Under Settings, Network you probably have to change your static external IP address.

After the change, the DNS record will be updated to reflect the change

This is what i did straight away. Hence i can reach it with the IP address. But if i just browse to my fqdn, it doesn't do anything at all right now.

Hi Maarten,

In order for the Public IP to be changed you need to apply the below steps:

1)Navigate under the Management Console >> Settings >> Network
2)Set the system to Dynamic IP
3)Restart the services of the phone system
4)Leave it as that for 40 minutes approximately
5)After that set it to Static again and add your new IP
6)Restart again the services.

This will update the settings in the DNS in order to resolve to the new IP, however you need to wait for the DNS propagation in case that your are using your own DNS (in your machines for name resolving)

Thank you. Will give this a try and see if it will work after that again!
