I've come across this video when searching for installing SBC on the latest raspberry pi 4
at 2.35 they mention using a cloud SBC instead of a raspberry pi as our end customer doesn't want the hassle of a box on premise. Is anyone running this and have instructions on setting it up and will it work for multiple locations?

Well it sounds like those people are running it so that answers one of your questions. As far as instructions for running 'it' I guess it depends on what 'it' is. There isn't a product called 'Cloud SBC' and you don't just stick a 3CX SBC in the cloud. There are many commercial products available (and open source if you are willing to put the time in to cobble it together) that work because they are SBCs and that's what they are meant to do. None of them are 3CX supported. And yes they support multiple locations, multiple clients, etc.

Thanks for your reply. It looks like raspberry pi it is

Smart choice :). If you are doing something large scale then investing in a cloud SBC makes sense. But for a single customer (unless it's a large customer) it's probably not worth the effort. I've never had anyone complain about having a Raspberry Pi stuck in the closet next to their switch/modem/etc. If they are that anti-hardware then they should have soft phones which won't need a SBC.

We do have some large scale jobs in the works but for now the PI will suit. Do you know the recommended memory size for the PI?

3cx sbc does not work with ver 4 due to the version of stretch, to be supported need to get a pi 3 b+

If you search the forum, you will see posts on ver 4

Current iteration on the 3B+ is 50 phones or 250total BLFs on the Pi. You can go higher with a VM/PC based SBC.
