Any updates on this?

Please note that this is the default behaviour in 3CX, where DTMF is disabled during conferences.

Is there a way to change that? If I'm on the phone with a customer and need to call a vendor, I can't navigate the vendors' phone menu. IE "Press 1 for support."... I can't press 1.

You can first dial the vendor’s IVR and navigate through to reach the desired contact. Once connected, you can then conference in the third party to join the call.

Just to make sure I understand the call flow...
  • Customer calls in and tells me their issue
  • Put customer on-hold
  • Do a new call from the 3CX app for the vendor
    • I didn't think this was possible from the app
  • Once I have someone on the phone, conference both calls together
I have that correct?

You can park the first call in a configured shared parking slot. Next, dial the vendor’s IVR and navigate to the desired contact. Once connected, press Conference and select the shared parking slot to bring the parked call into the conference.

Note: Ensure that BLF/shared parking slots are properly configured on the extensions beforehand so they are visible and available for use.

Thanks for the work-around.

@Charles_3CX

I tried this, but it’s not working with the App for Windows 20.0.990.0.

I was only able to get it working with the Chrome PWA.
Can you confirm if this is?

Thanks,
Mirjam

@mirjam.nz thanks for your feedback we are looking into it.

As a workaround, you can perform the following.

Call the number and blind transfer him to 700**{your_extension} ex 700**100
Call the secondary number. When ready, click on the conference button (now named Merge). This will put both of you and the previous number into the conference
