I am also wondering if it's possible to change all users' passwords to the same thing en masse so I could just use the template to state in the welcome email what that default password is.

Given that it sounds like a major security concern, I'm thinking not.

I keep seeing online guides where people state 'Enter the web password you received in your welcome email, this is different from the phone password'. Is this no longer possible? I have a lot of users who need to use 3CX on the web, is there an easy way to provide them with a password besides one by one changing them manually and letting users know what you've changed it to?

I believe it's still in the email by default? I looked at our most recent install and it has the line:

<li style="mso-special-format:bullet;"><span width="100%" style="line-height: 1"> Login using <strong>%%EXTNUMBER%%</strong> and password <strong>%%SERVICES_ACCESS_PASSWORD%%</strong></span><br style="-ms-text-size-adjust: 100%; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"/></li>

If yours has been customized, look for the Settings/Parameter of "MAILTEMPLATE_EXTWELCOME_CUSTOM" and delete it to revert to the default. You may want to save the current one first, in Settings/Email/Email Templates.

Ah okay, that makes sense. Thanks.
