is it possible to send a text to an extension DID and have that send to an email?

This is really a question separate from 3CX. It should be pretty simple to write an application that forwards inbound SMS to an email address. This is not something currently supported in 3CX, but we anticipate 3CX adding some level of SMS support very soon.
