is it possible to wipe the 3cx v20 config from debian

Hi all, playing around i did a BU from 18 and restored to 20. It went great and everything works except no admin user.

So I pulled another backup this time making an admin extension, and wanted to go back and restore. I removed the 3cxpbx install via apt remove 3cxpbx but when I re-get it the config remains behind even though the /lib/user/3cxpbx folder was gone.

I can just spin up a new box , not a big deal, but for future troubleshooting I thought it would be nice to know.

apt remove 3cxpbx postgres* --purge

the only thing i find weird is that even after installing off the 3cx debian v20 iso I still have to go add the repos, and few misc things in order to then install the 3cxpbx app .. with the purge command I guess Ill make a master iso because we will have dozens of upgrades to do and Im going to do all new installs vs upgrading in place.

The 3CX debian ISO has all the repos and does the install for your automatically....

Yeah thats what I would figure, but the iso I grabbed just installs debian, it says 3CX on the boot loader, I hit install (twice now) and once its up I have KDE with a GUI, and then have to manually add the repo's for 3cx and then install 3cxpbx

I grabbed it from my partner downloads section.

You shouldn't have to do any of this. Once the ISO installs the operating system, you will be presented with the 3CX black screen to start the PBX Web Configuration. This will direct you to enter the configuration URL (HTTP://ip:5015) to continue.

There should be no other apps or services or repos added to the system.

yeah thats not what I got with both the iso from a few weeks ago (pre-release) and the iso that I grabbed yesterday.

Both take me to a KDE desktop after I go through all the debian install, I then had to login, goto terminal, install the repo, and then install the app .

We have installed 3cx hundreds of times, and I was a bit surprised and figured maybe it was in the docs you had to do all this stuff. I will have one of my techs try it today just to see what happens.

Dont use the gui install! Thats your failure.

Ahh yeah that was the default setup during the debian install, I thought it was odd , but it wanted like 1 7 10 or whatever , that was KDE, system utilities and something else.

Uncheck everything beside system tools and ssh server.
