I'm seeing this message and just want to ensure I am sure of it's meaning.

You are running 3CX self hosted in a private cloud or on premise. We do not provide troubleshooting help for these DIY deployments. Choose a 3CX StartUP or 3CX Hosted instance together with a preferred or supported provider which will resolve most issues right off the bat.

You can check this thread with a similar inquiry for clarification.

Well i think you did not read the message properly. And you also conveniently removed the context of the message. We dont provide free troubleshooting help on the forum for DIY installs.

But yes, the direction, especially for smaller installs has to be either 3CX StartUP (for very small) and 3CX hosted (small to mid size). Its much more efficient for us to support. We find ourselves troubleshooting a lot of smaller installs on say AWS or on premise which could easily be on 3CX hosted.

Of course larger installs can be installed according to our guidelines on premise or in private cloud and it will be fully supported (albeit at a charge like everybody else or as part of a particular partner tier)

Hi Aws - OK i understand. However when you make such posts there will be a tsunami of "3cx is no longer supporting on premise" and this is what i want to avoid. This is not the case. Though whilst on the topic - yes on premise and self hosted are much more expensive for us to support and its more difficult to guarantuee a quality deployment for end customers.

I think the fact that we state we dont provide free troubleshooting info on the forum itself means it relates only to the forum?

We do plan to more actively answer 3CX Hosted and 3CX StartUP users on the forum.
Here are the posts.

Thanks. Sounds like 3CX could make it much clearer and less scary by changing the sentence:
"We do not provide troubleshooting help for these DIY deployments."
to:
"We do not provide troubleshooting help on this forum for these DIY deployments."

if you look up the definition of extortion in the dictionary... it basically covers "use my product or else." we absolutely love 3cx, it's rock solid. but this extortion for using their hosting after we have a rock solid solution that was directly recommended by 3cx a while ago is pretty sad.
