Hello everyone,

I recently switched from VitalPBX to try the new 3CX system. However, I am facing an issue with activating the system outside the local network.

I have installed the system on a dedicated local server and have opened all the necessary ports required by 3CX, as shown in the attached image.

3CX Server local IP is 192.168.1.60.

Additionally, I have attached the output of the netstat -tunlp command for reference.

The problem is that I am unable to access the system or activate any extensions from outside the local network.
I also tested accessing my 3CX FQDN, but it does not work from outside the local network. Even when using my public IP address, the system remains inaccessible.

This my System Information :

I would appreciate any insights or suggestions to resolve this issue.

Thank you in advance!

Best regards,

Have you opened the appropriate ports as per admin manual?
Check here : https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/firewall-router-configuration/
Dear NikosT_3CX,
Thank you for your response. Regarding the ports that need to be opened, I have opened all the ports mentioned in the link you provided, as shown in the screenshot attached to my previous post.

Also, if you do an nslookup for the 3cx fqdn on which ip does this resolve to ?
Check with this : https://dns.google/

As for the nslookup for my 3CX FQDN, the attached link shows that the test returns my public IP address "46.43.78.12"
https://dns.google/query?name=lazar.3cx.ng
Best regards,

As a first step run the firewall checker tool on the pbx side, this will check the UDP ports.
Also check the TCP with this : https://ping.eu/port-chk/

Hi @R00T Please review it and make sure to create the NAT rules forwarding the traffic to the correct local IP since the ports are closed testing it with https://ping.eu/port-chk/

Have a good day!

Dear NikosT_3CX,

I sincerely appreciate your help. Following up on your last response, if you were referring to checking the system's firewall, as shown in the image attached to the first post, the firewall check was completed successfully without any issues with the ports.

Best regards,

Dear All,

I would like to sincerely thank you all for your help. The issue has been resolved by reinstalling the system and modifying the port in the config.xml file from 443 to another port. I was then able to successfully access the system.

Best regards,
