Good afternoon,
We have been using the Grandstream HT802 ATA as a gateway for a fax machine successfully for a few months now. Everything was connected and transmitting fine. However, about 11 days ago, the fax machine stopped consistently sending out faxes. It began to fail 2 or 3 in a row and then would go back to successful transmits. Then it changed to transmitting intermittently and began to fail out almost every time. The inconsistent "COMPLETED" transmits would only transmit the first page, and lose the rest, until finally it no longer transmits at all. We thought this may be due to a failed fax card in the device (It is a Lanier 4054 MFP) and we replaced it altogether. However, this did not fix the issue and we are still experiencing failures. The problem we currently have is the fax device will dial out and connect on the receiving end, but will not transmit any data. We have verified the connection is established through both our trunk provider and through 3CX. We are using G711 Pass-Through as our trunk does not support T.38. The configuration appears to be correct through both 3CX and in the device itself. Does anyone have any clues as to why it would randomly stop transmitting data, even though there were no configuration changes to either the device or 3CX? I appreciate your time today.
