Hi,
I manage a 3CX instance for a 1-man company who has limited opening hours. This means that he gets a few out-of-hours calls that he is quite happy to let go to voicemail.
Recently, my client is not getting notifications that calls are being missed as the calls are technically being counted as answered. This behavior appears to be unique to 3CX SMB.
Testing in the logs indicates that the call is technically being shown as answered when it is redirected to the voicemail box, even though it isn't:

Here is the call-flow that has been in place since I started doing this:
If call answered:
SIP Trunk -> Ring Group (w/ DID) -> Extension
If out-of-hours/unanswered:
SIP Trunk -> Ring Group (w/ DID) -> Extension VM box
Ideally my client is wanting to see that he has a missed call either on the app on the home screen of his iPhone, or via the app itself on the Call button.
I understand that he could just call the voicemail for his extension, but this is not an acceptable resolution in this instance.
Does anyone know why the call handling around redirects and notifications changed, and what changes I can make to the call flow to allow these notifications to correctly show again?
