Hi,
We recently missed renewing our 3cx license (several of us thought the other had done so), so our old (self-hosted) instance stopped working. It seems we left it too late to renew the license, so had to get a new one. We have now got a new license and set up the new server and that has all registered successfully, however we cannot import a backup as it says the backup contains an invalid license (and if I try to change the license in the xml file it shows the backup as invalid). Is there some way to take the information from that backup and apply it to the new instance? or somehow put the valid license on the old instance (when I try to update it in the old instance I get an error stating "Commerical Keys cannot be replaced").
Thanks,

You need to adjust the backup to your new licence and fqdn. Do not unpack the file but edit it directly

Thanks, I didn't notice the fqdn had changed (from 3cx.co.uk to 3cx.uk - it seems they don't offer .co.uk anymore). I've now managed to restore the backup, but for some reason the fqdn still isn't working, and in the main customer 3cx portal it's still showing as "Install":

There is always "install".. Did you check your fqdn is the same ip than your wan?

@BBConsult check the FQDN here : https://dns.google/
You will see the ip address it resolves to.
It resolves to the correct IP address, and I can use that to access the system, but it still doesn't load via the fqdn (which also means the app doesn't work as it shows as unknown host.

I don't want to use the "install" option via the 3cx portal as it doesn't allow you to control which VPC it creates the EC2 instance in.

Edit: Nevermind, it's updated now, just took a while
