"Keep Active" mode in current Beta Version - great: option to disable google services!

Now, with this option we are somehow back to the stone-age - but this does not necessarily mean a bad thing. Todays phones come with batteries up to 6000mah, most power ist consumed by the screen on. For example my phone can run a day long the mobile hotspot without a problem.

But then I would like to disconnect my phone from the google cloud services - when the Programm is running all the time, google is not needed any more.
Even better: The 3CX app then could be made available for phones without google services!

Are the any plans to do this? No google -> less spying on the phone data, No Google services needed: better compatibility, larger device base, cheaper device options.

It still needs Google Services for Push notifications.

Why do you think push is still needed?
If the phone connects to port 5090 of the server and holds this connection, all signalling will (?) go through this connection.
I will try it out by blocking my pbx access to the google cloud.

Because I'm pretty sure they still use Push for voicemails and chats notifications.

Try it, I'm curious.

Only SIP connection is through 5090 - for all other non-SIP feats (presence, chats, recents, contacts, conference and so on) MyPhone port (typically 5001) should be available too.

I could not try voicemail (because I dont use it). Chat however works without the google cloud. Presence also.
Incoming calls work also (regardless if the app is open, or killed or screen is black/locked), however I only see an incoming call, the name/number of the caller is not shown. When I enable access to google for the pbx I can see the callers ID.

But the problem with the number not shown might be fixable(?). So, for me this looks like a excellent option for 3CX to get a larger user/device base and broaden compatibility. Also people with google paranoia will now be able to use their mobile together with 3CX.
