What are some of the largest installs everyone has done? I'm looking at a 1500 endpoint opportunity (80 call center agents) (26 car dealerships). I do not have much 3CX experience in the field currently so am unaware of any road blocks the system has.

Would anyone even attempt this many endpoints?

as you have no experience on installing 3cx on thiis scale I would contact a 3cx partner https://www.3cx.com/ordering/find-reseller/ to help you in the planning , installation

no point trying to do it yourself without the experienc and making a total mess of the installation

If you're in no rush to move to this system then I would start with a small set up, referring to https://www.3cx.com/docs/recommended-hardware-specifications-for-3cx/.

You should have no problem with this set up if you have technical experience.

Take your time, learn the system and then start to roll out to all phones over time.

Make sure you're using supported IP phones https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/

Set up your SIP provider https://www.3cx.com/partners/sip-trunks/

Create some inbound/outbound rules https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/inbound-did-call-routing/

Once you've done your call routing and you're familiar with how to set up the routing then you can start provisioning phones with your DHCP server https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/dhcp-option-66/

Do not do a cut over migration. Instead, onboard slowly so you are in control.

There are some gotchas to having one big system like this, mainly features that are global to the system like:
- Timezone
- Music on Hold
- CRM Integration
- Email Templates
- Deskphones phonebook
- and a few others.

If the customer has any need to customize those PER location, then having one system is not an option.

BTW, my company is Mitel (Shoretel) & Avaya certified. We're also a CLEC (meaning an actual voice carrier). I've worked on many PBX systems, from compiling Asterisk from source, to Cisco CM & UC500, Mitel Connect, IP Office, Metaswitch. Don't need the "how to do basic setup" or "talk to a partner" answers. I need to know if it's a waste of time and I'll become a partner if it makes sense. @kieferschild, I still appreciate you taking the time to answer.

@ConcecptsWeb, this is exactly what I needed. The dealerships are all over the US & different car brands so TZ and MOH would need to be distinct. They have a basic call center, though pretty large (80 agents). Agent queues are grouped by car manufacturer. I don't know all the details yet, but can make assumptions.
