Hello, I noticed that the latest SBC update is present and I would like to ask you if it is still compatible with the Legacy Desktop Apps (the V.16).

I have a customer with 3CX hosted by 3CX, 5 SIP phones via SBC on Raspberry, 3 of which are managed with Legacy apps (because 2 with windows 7 and one with windows 10 but with a processor lower than i3) and I would find myself a little in difficulty to having to uninstall the client and make them necessarily work with the web app.
If so, can I avoid updating the SBC? Or, is it possible to downgrade the SBC if there are problems?
Now it is installed the 18.1.34 version.

Thank you very much for your availability and have a nice day.

3CX applications do not use SBC server, they connect directly to the 3CX using the tunnel port

I supposed. The extensions use the PC only to route calls more easily and they use the SIP phone to answer, while they use the desktop app to initiate the call (which will start from the SIP phone). If I am not mistaken, then the call between extensions starts from the desktop app (therefore from the pbx in the cloud), arrives at the SBC and switches between extensions, right?
So do I proceed with the update without worries?

The legacy desktop client uses CTI so its controlling the phone locally. The phones then initiate the call and route traffic through the SBC to the 3CX server. So its safe to update the SBC as it does not affect the clients.

Ok, thank you very much.
