Latest Fanvil Firmware

Hey Community,

I'm wondering if there's a specific reason why 3CX isn't officially supporting the two latest firmware versions of the Fanvil V-Series phones (https://www.3cx.com/support/phone-firmwares/).

There are some new features and important bug fixes included in these versions (https://www.fanvil.com/service/doc/soft/p1/v series high-end ip phone/v65/index.html).

Does anyone have any insights or information on this topic?

Hi,

There were some critical issues in the test versions we got from the manufacturer, and obviously we cannot release that to the general public until those issues are fixed.

Currently the latest version in testing is going well, and we look forward to releasing the next stable firmware around the same time we release V18 Update 8.

I have an X4U-V2 which required an update (shipped with outdated firmware) but all I could find was 2.12.16.17 on the Fanvil web site.
The 3CX page for firmware which you linked to has been 404 for a few of days.
The Fanvil web site has older versions but I had no idea which one I needed becuase of the 3CX 404 so I went with the latest.
The install went fine and the phone works. It wasn't until the next day I noticed an 'unsupported' alert on my web console which has bought me here.
Hopefully running untested versions wont cause any issues, if so, maybe 3CX could put back the firmware page?

This was the correct version as of 4 months ago, but it may have changed since then.
