Hi

I am moving my hosted enviroment from windows and want to load the debian (linux) version.

My question is can I move my existing license (3cx for windows) to the new installation (debian) without any problems? or is there something to keep in mind?

Also, can i backup from my windows version and import to the debian version?

Hi Jofer,

Yes absolutely fine to do this Windows and Linux versions of 3CX (and licence) are not exclusive and you can move without issue.

Hi eddv123

Thank you.

As @eddv123 mentioned there is no issue moving from Windows to Linux and vice versa as backups are compatible between operating systems.
I would recommend although not necessary anymore, to perform a backup without including licence and FQDN information and using that to restore to the new Debian installation.
Upon installation just use the same licence key when asked that is bound to the FQDN.

Noted, thanks TiannisH

No problem, glad i could help
