Hello,

We have an enterprise license with 96SC and renewal date is coming next month.
the question is if we renewed the license with the same SC and then wanted to upgrade it to a higher simultaneous calls after maybe 3 months, do we pay for the whole license again with the needed SC?
or do we pay only the price difference between these licenses?

Thank you.

You pay the prorated difference between the two versions.

Your partner should be able to assist to make sure it's done properly.

License will be pro rata.

You can see the cost if you go to customer.3cx.com and go to upgrade.

Thing is that My Partner told me we have to pay for the full license price if we need to upgrade to a higher SC that is why i asked here

Im not sure what your set up is with your partner (how you pay etc).

Are they supplying it to you as a service or is this your 3CX license?

If i were you, I would log in to https://customer.3cx.com as the license owner and click "Upgrade".

You will then see the difference you have to pay, and you can pay 3CX directly.

You do not need to purchase the license fully when upgrading.

Well that's not true unless they control the license, which I doubt seeing your customer status (Premier.) They may be linked but you can always unlink them from your 3CX console if needed.

The cost is prorated as: (diff between the two level) divided by the number of days total, times the days remaining.

Youll need to unlink the partner from the 3CX dashboard to be able to see.

Take a note of their partner ID, you can always add them back once youve looked ;)

You cannot see the partner ID once it's linked. You'll need to request it from your partner.

However, you could easily calculate the upgrade cost using the public MSRP pricing.

Just to give an example for prorated..

If the license cost 365 dollars for the first tier and 730 for the second tier, then you are paying a dollar per day for tier 1 and $2 per day for tier 2..

So if you wait 2 months (60 days), the tier 2 license is 730-120 (60 days at $2 ea) = $610. That's what you pay to upgrade.

okay got it, thank you guys you have been a great help to me, many thanks again.
