License Usage & Upgrade Scenario

Hello Members,

Have a question based on licensing usage & upgrade :

If a license is purchased for 8SC PRO and it is later figured out that 16SC PRO license is required, then in this case :
a) Do we end paying for the difference in price ?
b) Will the term of maintenance be renewed ?
