Hi everyone. I've deployed a few 3cx on-prem servers in the past but I'm trying to deploy my first Amazon Lightsail instance. I followed the instructions on the guide and used the PBX Express and everything seems to have deployed correctly. I ran the firewall checker after the dashboard came up and everything passes until the Media Server ports (9000..9398). It just seems to freeze when it gets there. I stopped the check after about 5 minutes and it just has a blank out beside the first few ports. Not a pass or fail.

Is this typical? I read that using the PBX Express is supposed to open the necessary ports. I don't have my SBC hardware in yet (RPi) so I can't test it. I'm just wanting to make sure I've got everything on the backend ready for when it does come in.

Thanks!

If you log on lightsail console you have access to firewall rules and then you can modify if RTP range is not fully done

Restart the vm. If that doesn’t fix it as the person above said check the firewall rules In light sail. However 3CX pbx express deploys the rules correctly and I’ve seen new 3CX installs fail at first firewall check and need a vm restart.

Thanks aws2p and CentrexJ. I checked and it looks like it created the rules correctly. I attached a screenshot of what it's showing. I also tried rebooting the server and running the firewall checker again with the same results.

only limitation on lightsail , firewall doesn't offer to restrict ports use to only wanted IPs, for example 5060 restriction to sip provider is not possible
