Limit Extension to only use Company Address Book

Hi Everyone

We have 3CX Standard v18 set up and I would like to know if it is possible to limit an extension to only use the Company Address Book and internal extensions and disallow any other dialing.

This is not possible within 3CX

You could do it using outbound calls, but it would be very messy

Some sets have an internal dialplan, which could be used to limit which numbers can be dialed. This would also include internal numbers.

As suggested, you can create outbound rules to be used only by that extension, but, it would only affect outside calls, and would probably become quite complicated.

If you wished to limit calls to, say a dozen, or so numbers only, you could create a speed call list (3, or 4 digit numbers all beginning with the same prefix) in the outbound rules, and block all outher outside calls. Of course this becomes cumbersome if there are a lot of numbers that the extension is to be allowed to call.
