Now this was more common on analog or digital phone systems. Though never had this happen on VoIP in my last 15 years working with VOIP. Anyone tell me why these 2 people in the same room would have their calls be heard on the other phone?

Have you changed the 3CX parameter ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP from the default 0 to 1?

This looks like it only applies to ring groups. They are using call queues and they say it happens on outbound calls as well.

I don't know how far reaching the effect of this setting is, but I'm told that if you set this value to 1, bad things happen and one of the symptoms is that you will have multiple users hear each other's calls. Do you have this setting set to 1?

Well I did just check and it is set to 0.

Are they sitting too close to each other? :)

DECT headsets perhaps?

Its a 10x10 office with 2 desks, using wired grandstream desk phones with the handset.

Is it like a cross-talk type situation or can the outbound call recipient also hear audio from both desk phones as if it was a conference call?

Like the callers can hear each other like a conference call.

How long has this been happening?
Does it happen between any other extensions?
If one person is on a call, and the other places a call, at what point can they hear each other?
What model Grandstream phones? (might make a difference)
Have you moved the sets to other desks, in other parts of the building to see if the problem follows?
Have you put two different (extensions) sets, on these desks (as a temporary test) to see if the same problem occurs?

Wireshark...

Do the handsets have bases? They should have preset radio frequencies on the base somewhere. Make sure everyone in a ~10m radius have different preset numbers.

If you place a test call on one of them to *777 echo test. Can that be head on the other phone ??

Are they both connected to the same switch ?? What type is this ?? Is it possible they are both connected to an old "mini hub" of some type ???
