Hi there,

We have our CRM integration working with Copper quite nicely, and from the 3CX web interface it's super easy to click the CRM button and open up a new tab with the newly created (or matching) CRM contact.

However we can't figure out how to do this from the windows or mac 3CX native apps? I feel like I must be missing something obvious!

Anyone have any ideas about how to do this? We noticed that the Windows app gives an option to launch another application upon a call - so hypothetically we could open Chrome and try to pass in a "new tab" parameter which opens up the URL we want... but that's a workaround. A native link inside the app would be great and I am assuming I am just missing something obvious ;)

Hello @grayedfox,

The server side CRM integration templates only work with the 3CX Web Client. The native clients don't support showing the contact URL.

As you mentioned, you have the option to launch an external program. You can configure Chrome and set the argument to the URL you need to launch. However, please note that this is the URL that you configure in the native client, and not the Contact URL retrieved from the CRM. In the URL you configure here, you can only use 2 variables: the caller number and the caller display name. If you need additional information, like the contact ID for example, you need to use the Web Client.

Kind regards.
