Local calling without SIP Trunking

I have an RJ11 line coming from my ISP/Telecom Provider with a local landline number provided. Is it possible to hardwire this, for calling outside my business and taking calls, using any device without having to use SIP Trunking on 3cx. If so, how is it done?

I have calling on the network already setup on a raspberry pi. Works when calling between my smartphones. Looking to purchase granstream GXP1625's for the network.

You can connect 3CX to PSTN lines using a VoIP Gateway.

Correct

remember you can only have one call at one time , either incoming or outgoing

If you want to handle more external calls, you may wish to look a sip providers

If there is even a chance, that you will add an additional PSTN line, in the future, it may be worthwhile to consider a multi-line gateway.

If you find the need to place outgoing calls, when the PSTN line is engaged, you could add a SIP provider, just for outgoing. Many will allow you to send the same caller ID used by your your PSTN line so people will call back, on your existing line. This can usually be done with no monthly charge, just a very low cost for the time used. In the future, you might also consider porting over the PSTN number, to that same provider, once you become comfortable with VoIP.

The HT801 is for connecting an analog phone or fax machine as an extension.

You would want something like the Grandstream GXW4104 to connect a landline/PSTN phone line to 3CX.

...or if you do a search, you might find a Linksys/Cisco/Sipura SPA3102, or SPA3000. They are no longer made, not officially 3CX supported, and require manual configuration, but, will do the job (single line PSTN), especially if you can pick one up cheap.

That is a Grandstream PBX. You need a PSTN gateway..

Any of the gateways that say FXS at https://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/ would work.

Just want to help clear things up a bit since I see some contradicting information.

Since what you want is to have a PSTN line connected to your 3CX PBX what you will need is an FXO gateway and NOT an FXS gateway.

However, do note that the list also consists of FXS gateways so make sure that what you are looking at are the FXO gateways such as the ones Naveen | Cal4care linked to.

Note: An FXS gateway is what you would need if you would want to connect analogue devices to your 3CX PBX such as analogue deskphones or an analogue FAX machine.
