I have On-Premise v16 running on Windows 10 PC. Preparatory for when v18 will be available for Windows, I attempted to install 3CX Roll-up Updates. I logged back in once, the update was still there and I attempted again. Since then I've not been able to log back in. I have tried on local IP, tried on FQDN, tried on mobile data, even tried remotely from another location but each time I get error "403 Forbidden nginx". All Services are running, except Hotel Service. I have also checked and reconfigured all the port-forwarding to the PC, but no joy.

Apart from reinstalling the PBX any idea what else I can do? Being a small installation of 3 users with no SIP Trunk, I wouldn't mind reinstalling but unfortunately there is no back up. If I should reinstall, what will I loose? Will I be able to use the same FQDN which is on 3cx?
Any idea will be appreciated.

Hello blossoms,

Please take note for any 3CX installations the first thing you must enable 3CX scheduled backup and store the backup to FTP/SFTP/Google Storage instead of local drive. If you keep the backups in the local drive then manually download the backup and move to the safe location regularly.
So that we can avoid reconfiguration whole PBX if incase server failure, data corrupted etc.

You may contact any 3CX partner or open a support ticket to 3CX for this issue. Please check the 3CX support procedure here. https://www.3cx.com/ordering/

Otherwise you will need to create new instance again using the same key and FQDN. The existing FQDN will tie up with the license key until you release the FQDN from customer portal.

Hi @blossoms,

If you log back onto the PBX machine, go to task manager >> services >> order by name, do you see any 3CX services there and are they running?

Very many thanks to @VasilisV_3CX.

Have now reinstalled the PBX and all back to live.

After creating a full backup, reinstallation solved the problem. Pleasure @blossoms!
