Login Loop

Hey guys,

I got an interesting one.

We lost power on a 3CX system due to some extended power outage in a storm.
When the VM came back online, it had a date in 2037, which meant the license would have been expired.

I fixed the date, which I can confirm in Linux is showing 6/16/2025 now and have rebooted the VM many times.
Everything seems to be working, exact the login page.

At the login page i enter the extension + password, it appears to except it. However it just brings me to a login page again.
If I type the password wrong, it will tell me it is wrong so I know that is working.

I have tried all the tricks in the book, different browser, clearing cache, inprivate browser.
I cannot seem to get logged back into the admin console no matter what i try.

Anyone ever seen this? The system is on V20, I think update 4.

Any chance that you logged in while the date was still wrong (and it thinks you have a newere session active with session limits)? Maybe some certificate has a bad date? Just trying to think of possibilities.

Hello tsukraw01,

Try to make an 'offline' backup, meaning from command line not web
Copy this backup to local PC/Laptop
Setup 3CX fresh from the Backup

This should set the 3CX server back to normal opperation.

I have also seen this behavior when the server/vm is out of storage space (not that that is the issue in this case) it will accept login credentials and then just redirect to login page likely due to being unable to store the session details server side
