Lost or changed Management Console password. How to retrieve?

Hello,

I have a hosted 3cx Server and the Management Console password is no longer working. I was just in it and have not changed the password. I am at a loss. I logged into my customer portal but under my systems, I see no place to change the customer portal to change the Management Console password. Can someone from 3CX please help? I can also log into my web client and access some admin features. I am just dumbfounded.

You can reset the password by clicking the Forgot Password button, which will prompt you to enter the admin's email address.



If the address entered is valid you will receive a reset password email to change the Admin's password.

What URL is this? When I go to my Maintenance login screen there is no Forgot password.

If you are unable to see the Forgot Password button, you need to enter the correct username and wrong password twice and the button will appear.

I tried that, still no lost password. I just configured the account and never received the welcome email. PS I am new to 3cx.

Hi @jason-manning

If you are not seeing the forgot password button this means that you are not entering the correct username.
The username for the root admin account is the one you have configured during the installation wizard.

The welcome email you receive is the credentials of the first created extension, which also is done during the installation wizards, but it's not the credentials for the root admin of the Management Console.
